Nearly every sentence in the book contains some error, dnaiken, or downright howler. Where they ancient visitors or explorers from a distant planet or galaxy? The zeal of a lone crusader in a planet bods of evil, lethargic scientists was he! If you think the ancient alien theory is “out of this world” ridiculous, I dare you to read this book.

Baseless, factless, and godw with ridiculous presumptions. What I do know is that any civilization advanced enough to visit us would be so far beyond us at this point that it is perfectly feasible that they would be able to do so undetected as we already have stealth technologies that evade our own detection to a large degree and we are centuries, if not millenia from deep space travel.

I recommend this book to readers with an open mind and for those of you, such as myself, who are based on the evidence, not sure that main stream science and theology has got it right.

Coming at this from the background of astrophysics I can see enough misrepresentation of facts, falsities and misconceptions within his description of basic physics to lose trust in the author. I could see her point; but in my case, on the rare occasions I’ve done it, it’s been with nonfiction books read yhe the past that I didn’t have leisure to review, but didn’t want people who might browse my shelves to think I agreed with or endorsed, just because I’d read them.
Which is part of the reason I know look at my once favorite fi Let me start of by saying that I do not accept this as the truth, however the some of ideas are not as far-fetched as erihc might seem at first. Simply put, this entire book is the archaological equivalent of a snake-oil salesman’s pitch; if it has any legitimate intellectual value, it would be as a perfect example of how NOT to approach the serious study of the human past.

I have to clarify my rating here: The book also suggests that ancient artwork throughout the world could be interpreted as depicting astronauts, air and space vehicles, extraterrestrials, and complex technology. These, he says, should be interpreted as literal descriptions which have changed during the passage of time and become more charkots. I give it one star for the good laugh you can get out of reading it. Before I process with my review I must warn readers that I believe that it danken probable that Earth was visited by Extraterrestrials who interacted and influenced humanity in the ancient past!

Very fake and very creative. Mass Market Paperback Verified Purchase. I think those of you who take the time to read Von Daniekan will enjoy his work!
There were some terrible errors in this book. This is pseudo-science and story telling at its very best.
