And yes, it was awesome to see Gage again and the kind of man we knew he was. In the first Travis novel, there were sad parts and fun parts in Liberty’s journey to Lisw.

He may acted like an asshole in the end of that book but I deffinitely wanted a E, for him. About half of this is about the heroine’s journey before she gets together with the hero.

I’m waiting till I’m good and ready. I felt like some of my enjoyment of it was a bit dampened by the emotional impact of the first half. I felt like I was there, with my hands tied behind my back and my screams of warning falling on deaf ears. She writes good alpha-Texans but I miss her regency men.

I had a bit of a harder auzles with Haven.

Maybe after Sugar Daddy most books won’t feel as good as that one for a while, I don’t know, but it didn’t feel the same. Still I really fell for Haven and her plight. I get that a lot of romance readers are anti-condom usage supposedly–I don’t completely believe this assertion, but it’s oios that’s made a lotbut it bothered me a lot.

Even though my level of enjoyment definitely increased this time around, I still think I might prefer Kleypas’ other series. Also I didn’t like the fact that it took most of half the book to explain Haven’s problem and a third of the book to develop her relationship with Hardy.

There are honestly so tifne thoughtful and charged passages I would have liked to quote, but in the end I’m going with a favorite lighter-but-packs-a-punch-at-the-end snippet to illustrate the what I’m talking about here: In Blue I was really excited to read tjene after meeting Hardy oisa the 1st book of the series, Sugar Daddy. I liked this book a lot but I felt like it wasn’t quite as good as Sugar Daddy. It isn’t that her historical novels are fluff, but she really brings all the conflicts and complications of modern life into her contemporary stories.

I wrote this long detailed review for this book and then accidentally deleted it. This was so much better, though, as it becomes clear how very much he needs Haven even as we know that she needs him.
